We celebrate Europe Day
On May 9 we celebrate Europe Day. Our student Ambassadors of the European Parliament attend the Teatre Lliure throughout the morning to participate in various activities and workshops around the subject of rights and education in democracy.
One morning of celebration and meeting with the Junior Ambassadors of all the Ambassador Schools of Catalonia, organized by the Headquarters of the European Parliament in Barcelona.
In addition, in our schoolthe Junior Ambassador students have thought and prepared several activities such as the start of the special day for the occasion, which includes a presentation to explain this celebration, and a kahoot to get to know Europe and the European Union better for the 3rd and 4th graders of ESO.
Europe Day takes place every 9 May. On this day we celebrate peace and unity in Europe. This date marks the anniversary of the well-known Schuman Declaration, in which he set out his idea of a new form of political cooperation in Europe, which would make war between European nations inconceivable. Schuman's proposal is considered the beginning of what is today the European Union.
The institutions of the European Union and Jesuits Sarrià-Sant Ignasi, as Ambassador School of the European Parliament, are celebrating with different activities, both face-to-face and online.
Many of these activities will revolve around theEuropean Year of Skills 2023, with debates for young Europeans.
