Collaboration agreement with Nexe Foundation

The Foundation and Jesuïtes Sarrià have signed a collaboration agreement with the goal of enhancing the training of future specialists in caring for children with specific support needs. This initiative aims to combine efforts and leverage the resources of both institutions to provide high-quality training and bolster professional development in this field. The new training represents a significant advancement, ensuring that children with disabilities can rely on well-prepared professionals capable of addressing their care-related challenges.

The agreement, effective from the 2024-2025 academic year, establishes a collaborative academic program aimed at training specialists in caring for children with specific support needs. This training will be conducted in accordance with Jesuïtes Sarrià’s internal regulations and will involve collaboration at every stage of the process.

The agreement will initially span one year, with automatic annual extensions to accommodate necessary improvements and extensions.

Nexe Foundation: bringing over 40 years of experience in caring for children with highly complex disabilities.

Within the context of this collaboration, Nexe Foundation will leverage its experience and expertise in caring for children with specific support needs. This ensures that the program maintains the highest quality and aligns with the actual requirements of both students and the children they will serve. Nexe Foundation will collaborate with Jesuïtes Sarrià to design the academic curriculum, outline study plans, define training objectives, and select relevant theoretical and practical content.

Furthermore, Nexe Foundation will actively engage in mentoring student groups throughout the programme’s development, providing support and guidance to enhance their academic and professional advancement. Additionally, it will play a pivotal role in creating educational content and overseeing students’ final projects, ensuring alignment with quality standards and training objectives through personalised tutorials and ongoing material reviews.

In turn, Jesuïtes Sarrià will furnish the essential facilities and resources for the program, including technology-equipped classrooms, spaces for practical activities, and specialised laboratories. Additionally, Jesuïtes Sarrià will handle logistics, encompassing administrative management and coordination of teaching activities. In this capacity, the responsible party will oversee the management of program-related income and expenses, ensuring transparent and efficient financial administration. Simultaneously, they will ensure that the collaboration adheres to current regulations and established quality standards. This involves continuous monitoring of program development and the implementation of improvements to ensure its ongoing success and sustainability. This involves regular assessment of students’ progress and periodic review of training content to ensure it remains current and relevant.
