A group of 15 students from Primary 6 and two teachers arrived on Sunday 3rd March at Dublin for a 5-day visit to St Joseph’s BNS Terenure.
After some initial icebreaker activities at school, our students soon made new friends with the Irish boys. There was a wide variety of activities including a culture quiz, an amazing festival of talents, a go at the Irish traditional hurling and cricket, a food fest and an afternoon snack with Irish host families. Our students had a great time doing some fantastic presentations about our city, its culture, food and of course, about our school.
As a group we had a pleasant walk through Crafton Street and we visited Trinity College and Dublinia where we learned a lot about Vikings and medieval Dublin.
What a wonderful experience for our students!
